Teacher Gift Pencil Vase

Any time is a good time to let a teacher know they are appreciated.  Whether it's teacher appreciation week (the first week in May) the end of the school year, or the beginning, let a teacher know how much they're appreciated with this cheerful bouquet of flowers in a fun pencil vase.  You can make this teacher gift pencil vase in minutes.  Just fire up your glue gun and pick up an inexpensive bouquet of flowers at the grocery store.

 

Here's what you'll need:

a jar or vase with straight sides

unsharpened number 2 pencils

a glue gun and glue

Make sure to use a jar or vase that has straight sides.  (I used an old olive jar.)  Glue the pencils all the way around the jar making sure the ends of the pencils are flush with the bottom of the jar.  It's ok if the pencils extend past the top of the jar.

Grab an inexpensive bouquet of flowers the next time you're at the grocery store and pop them in the vase.  Add some water and a bow and you've got a really nice teacher gift in minutes!
