Dollar Store Gift - Chocolate Candles

Here's a perfect gift to give the chocoholic on your gift list: a box of chocolates.  But these are no ordinary chocolates; they're candles that look (and smell) like chocolate!

Can you believe I found these cute little candles at the dollar store?  Sometimes, the trick to shopping at the dollar store is to think about creative ways to use different items.  In this case, I really wanted to play up the fact that these candles looked so much like real chocolates.

The candles looked like this when I found them at the dollar store.

Although they were nicely wrapped in individual boxes, some of the wax had gotten on the inside of the box and didn't look so nice.

I unwrapped the candles and took them out of their boxes.  I also removed the candles from their little ceramic plates.  (I'll have to find a craft project to make with those later!)  I was lucky enough to find a gift box at the dollar store that was just the right size for the four chocolate candles.

I placed the chocolates in the box and stuck a bow on the lid.  Boom!  Easiest project ever!

Now these chocolate candles look so much nicer and make a really cute gift!  Wouldn't this box of chocolates be a perfect hostess gift, a nice stocking stuffer, or a great gift for a chocoholic friend?  I like them so much, I might just have to keep them for myself!
