Engagement Gift: DIY Wine Labels

I recently received an invitation to an engagement party.  I had no idea what to bring for an engagement gift, so it I did a quick search on Pinterest for some ideas.  I was thinking about making these cute little gift bags . . 


 . . . but then I realized I could do something even easier by creating some quick DIY wine labels in PicMonkey.  It would certainly be a lot easier than digging out my sewing machine.  Plus, I'm terrible at sewing!

If you haven't played around with PicMonkey yet, you should give it a try.  PicMonkey is an easy way to edit digital photos, but you can do so much more with it.  I love PicMonkey because it's easy to use and I'm always finding new ways to use it!  Best of all it's FREE!

Here's how I made the labels for the wine bottles:

Go to PicMonkey and select "edit a picture."

Select the canvas option from the menu on the left to change the canvas color. 

Choose white and hit "apply."

Select "T" to type in your text and use the butterfly icon for overlays like a heart and a mustache.

Make any final changes to your label to make sure it's exactly what you want.
(I added a border and changed the font.)  Then save and print.
Yep, it's that easy!

You could really have a lot of fun making personalized wine labels for all kinds of celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries.  And a bottle of wine is a great gift for someone who has everything!
