Pita Bread Pizza
We love pizza at our house, but we can never agree on toppings. I like
lots of veggies while everyone else likes pepperoni, ham and sausage.
Individual pizzas made with pita bread lets you make a personal sized pizza with exactly what you want on it! This pin for pita bread pesto pizzas inspired me to make pizza using pita bread. Although those pesto pizzas looked really good, I didn't have pesto and some of the other ingredients. I decided to give it a try anyway and I used what I had in the fridge for toppings. I wasn't expecting it to be good since I really wasn't sure how well pita bread would work as a pizza crust. It turns out that the pita bread makes a surprisingly good crust! This is a basic recipe for pepperoni pizza but you can add your favorite ingredients like olives, mushrooms, peppers, etc. These pita pizzas make a great snack or even a quick and easy dinner and I bet kids would love making their own!
