Sunflowers
Sunflowers just make me happy! Not all sunflowers though. I recently got rid of some funky, ugly sunflowers in my hall bathroom and don't miss them at all! But I have some abusolutely beautiful sunflowers in my backyard. I can't stop peeking out the window at them. They're such happy flowers and they're truly stunning against a big, beautiful, blue sky.
I'm also learning how to use the functions on my camera. I don't have anything fancy, just a $100 point and shoot so there aren't many functions to learn how to use. I certainly don't have any background or even a basic understanding of photography. I've never felt that I was any good at taking pictures, but I think part of the problem is that I just don't have enough practice. I have a few tips pinned to my photo Pinterest board, and I'm tying to learn to take better pictures. My backyard sunflowers were excellent practice!
I really don't know what I'm doing when I take pictures. My strategy has always been to take a lot of pictures and hope I get lucky with a few good ones. I must have taken at least fifty pictures of sunflowers!
I think it's easy to get good pictures when you're photographing such beautiful objects in nature.
Wow, you have some great sunflowers! I planted at least two packets of sunflower seeds this year, but I only have three sunflowers. (It looks like something dug up the seeds.) But the ones I have are beautiful -- they are growing outside my living room window. I have a photo of them on my blog -- I have to take some better photos, though!
ReplyDeleteP.S. What kind of sunflowers did you plant? Yours are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI had a bird feeder in that spot last year. The seeds that fell out grew purely by accident. We got a lot of rain in July which helped, too!
